Online or not?Online research has become a lot bigger in the last couple of years. This is no surprise, because online surveys cost less money and time compared to pen & paper surveys. There are no costs for printing, envelopes or stamps, and the data don't have to be coded anymore because the survey is already digital. Online research is therefore extensively used for quantitative research. But researchers are also more and more looking for ways to conduct quantitative research online. When the goal of a research is to monitor developments over time, a (more of less) standardized, prestructured survey is required. This suits our preference for continuous research. |
